Cherish Your Hands!
In May our hands are busier than ever! Spring is in full swing and hands are busy with gardening, painting, and repairing. May also is filled with plenty of celebrations: the traditional May Day and the International Workers’ Day on the 1st of May, Cinco de Mayo on the 5th, Mother’s Day on the 8th, and plenty of graduation ceremonies throughout! These call for our hands to be busy in different ways — cooking, wrapping presents, shaking hands, hugging, holding flowers, clapping….
“Yes, hands — how important they are!” I thought. So I selected some of my photographs and composed this photo essay to honor our hands and their expressiveness.
